I met Elizabeth Poett in Waco, TX after we both started filming our shows for The Magnolia Network. Elizabeth is the rare combination of movie star glamour and a down-to-earth rancher. Those things seem an impossible mix and yet, Elizabeth pulls it off with rugged elegance. She has a passion for her traditions, her land, and her family, which makes her so relatable.

Her new cookbook tells the story of her picture book ranch, filled with cattle, honey bees, lavender fields, and views one could never get tired of. Most importantly it is where her family has lived for seven generations.

I am decidedly a city dweller but I am so captivated and curious about her bucolic world. If you’ve seen her show, Ranch to Table, you’ve probably felt the same pull to ranch life. You can get her recipes and stories in her new book, The Ranch Table, which includes this family-favorite peanut butter meringue pie. Be sure to check out Elizabeth’s show! Season 4 just launched on Magnolia Network.

  3. Love lemon pie!!
My fav PB recipe is Chocolate Peanut butter bars!!
I have made it countless times- Delish!!

  4. Good ol fashioned chocolate cream pie!!

  5. I love peach pie in the summer and pumpkin pie in the fall!

  6. Margot Mustich

My favorite would have to be an old-fashioned blueberry pie. No fancy toppings or decorations. Just a lovely, light, flaky double crust and a fruit filling that doesn’t spill out the minute it’s lifted out of the pan and onto the plate. A scoop of vanilla ice cream is the ideal accompaniment.

  7. Apple pie

  8. My favorite is lemon meringue pie. As a child, I used to ask my mom for a lemon meringue pie instead of a cake. She always made awesome pies!

  9. Kathryn D Dyck

My favorite pie is key lime

  10. My favorite pie is an apple pie with a custard base. I am always open to try new recipes.

  11. Linda Sangirardi

I love a coconut custard pie and also an apple crumb, but this peanut butter pie looks divine! I’m a big fan of both Zoe Bakes and Ranch to Table and I
think both of you women are awesome!

I love a coconut custard pie or an apple crumb but this peanut butter
pie looks divine! I am a huge fan of Zoe Bakes and Ranch to Table. Both
of you women are awesome! Love your shows!

  13. My favorite pie, filled with nostalgia, is Aunt Nellie’s blueberry pie. When I asked her for the recipe, she said “oh honey, there is no recipe – you just have to feel it.” She had made it for so many years, just knowing by sight and touch that it would be delicious!

  14. I love the Chocolate Peanut butter Pie! It’s made by a local restaurant (The Cabbage Patch, Snohomish WA). Frankly ANY of their pies are amazing. All homemade and delicious.

  15. Alison White

My favorite pie depends on the season! Apple for Fall; lemon meringue for Spring, Blueberry for Summer, chocolate cream for Winter!

  16. Charles Suggs

From Chess Pie through Pecan Pie (all favorites if placed on my dessert plate) my most favorite is BLACKBERRY CUSTARD PIE!!

  17. So boring. I know, but my favorite pie is pumpkin!

  18. Donna Tillman Bardocz

My favorite pie is a lemon meringue pie!

  19. My favorite is Peach Pie slightly warm with a flaky crust and vanilla bean ice cream especially in the summer when the peaches are ripe. On other end of the spectrum, I enjoy a Chocolate Cream Pie with fresh whip cream.

  20. I love an old fashioned apple pie with extra spices and brown sugar just out of the oven with vanilla ice cream on top!

  21. Meghan Winkler

Okay, I’m definitely going to have to try this one! My all-time favorite pie is a good ol’ mixed berry pie, especially if it has a gorgeous lattice top for texture and beauty. Although, I also tried Zoe’s Perfect Peach Pie with peaches from my neighbor’s peach tree, and I have to say – it was hard to beat!

  22. My fave pie is Lemon Meringue, with the meringue a mile high! So when I saw Peanut Butter Meringue, I ran right over to see it!

  23. Chess pie! The simplicity of it is very comforting. Elizabeth’s peanut butter pie looks amazing and I know my family would love it. Her chocolate chip cookie with sea salt recipe is a family staple, as well as Zoe’s banana bread recipe. Off to make 2 loaves right now!

  24. I love any kind of cream pie but my favorite is Coconut Cream Pie. This was also my dad’s favorite so I always made it for him during the holidays. When I was younger I could never get the cream to thicken and I would call my grandma for help to figure out what I was doing wrong. I’ve since mastered the pie and make it every Thanksgiving.

  25. Laura Higgins

My two favorite pies are apple & coconut cream. They’re old fashioned but can’t be beat.
