I met Elizabeth Poett in Waco, TX after we both started filming our shows for The Magnolia Network. Elizabeth is the rare combination of movie star glamour and a down-to-earth rancher. Her new cookbook tells the story of her picture book ranch, filled with cattle, honey bees, lavender fields, and views one could never get tired of. Most importantly it is where her family has lived for seven generations.

Classic Pecan Pie! I have a scar on my wrist where as a toddler I tried to reach a pecan pie right out of the oven. I learned the meaning of the word “hot” but still love the pie as much today!
Pecan pie is the best! I cannot imagine a world without nuts, and having them in a sumptuous pie is a treat in every way.

I am a big time pie lover! My new favorite is a pineapple cream pie with meringue topping and macadamia graham crust. I fell in love with it in Hawaii (stationed here for a spell). But I would swoon for pretty much any pie with a delicious flaky crust and oozing berry juice… or a chocolate and peanut butter cream pie that is meltingly delicious on the palate!
Ohh I love a banana cream pie or anything chocolate like a chocolate silk pie!

Cool and refreshing Raspberry Cream Pie made with homegrown, perfectly ripe raspberries.
In the fall, I love apple pie with a pecan crumble topping and in the summer, a tart lemon icebox pie. I love simple peanut butter cookies with a Hersey’s kiss melted on top.
I love apricot pie, pecan pie, peach pie
I’ll never turn down a blueberry pie, but peanut butter in any form wins my tastebuds over all!

Pecan pie. I thought my mom makes the best pecan pies, but now my son is making them and I think they are better.
Cherry pie vs. French apple pie (or whatever it’s called; you know the one with apples topped with a cinnamon crumble…mmmm).
My favorite pie is chocolate creme, so a peanut butter creme pie or the combination of the two sounds heavenly!
A good old fashion peanut butter cookie. I swap out the short name for olive oil in mind. They are delicious.
