I met Elizabeth Poett in Waco, TX after we both started filming our shows for The Magnolia Network. Elizabeth is the rare combination of movie star glamour and a down-to-earth rancher. Those things seem an impossible mix and yet, Elizabeth pulls it off with rugged elegance. She has a passion for her traditions, her land, and her family, which makes her so relatable.

Her new cookbook tells the story of her picture book ranch, filled with cattle, honey bees, lavender fields, and views one could never get tired of. Most importantly it is where her family has lived for seven generations.

Love your show & Ranch to Table & learn so much from you guys. I was born in Nova Scotia and my favorite pie as a child was Boysenberry 🙂 Now, many years later, and in Texas with six grandchildren is any pie, cobble, tart or peanut butter chocolate chip cookie I can make with them
100% peanut butter pie! Although I did have a blueberry pie this year that was out of this world. Most of the blueberries were not cooked. Only a small portion had been cooked on the stovetop and then mixed with the uncooked blueberries and put in a graham cracker crust shell. Delicious. The pie came from a restaraunt in New Jersey: Steve and Cookies.
My hands down favorite pie is Sour Cherry! One bite and I am transported back to my childhood years of picking cherries with my siblings and the pie that always followed from our mother. A sour cherry lattice crust pie graces our table each Thanksgiving as a reminder of the good times both past and present.
My current favorite pie is….drumroll, please….King Fluffernutter Pie. Peanut butter. Bananas. Bacon. Marshmallow creme. It’s a ridiculously beautiful ode to Elvis.

I love pie, almost all pies, maybe apple pie a bit more than cherry pie, and maybe lemon pie more than pumpkin pie. If I am the piemaker, I like rustic pies.

I have a great recipe that is made like a dessert pizza! Sugar cookie crust and peanut butter and cream cheese combined as the next layer, topped with sliced apples, caramel drizzle and chopped peanuts! soooo good! I love Elizabeth also! She seems so down-to-Earth and I love that table she uses as an island in her kitchen!
Wild Black Raspberry is my ALL time FAVORITE pie! We found wild Black Raspberries in our yard and picked them to make a pie..Oh my goodness, BEST pie I’ve ever had!
Sour cherry pie is my favorite pie. Alas, I haven’t found sour cherries since I moved to NC 10 years ago. My second favorite is strawberry rhubarb pie.
