I have made a lot of banana bread, and this is a truly excellent version. One of the best I’ve tried. Moist, cake-like, with a nice crisp by the edges, and so delicious. We made a small edit at my kiddo’s request, and added chocolate chips instead of nuts. And I do recommend that variation too 🙂

I was so excited to find this recipe! I loved these cookies as a kid, and just recently remembered them. I’ve got them in the oven right now and they smell wonderful! I made one batch with raisins and one with cranberries!
