These were the best shortbread cookies I have ever eaten. I got loads of compliments when I made them.
I am glad the lavender was optional. I am not fond of lavender in my food, so I didn’t add it. The cookies were great plain.

Hi Sandra,

Yes, you can just pick the buds off of any organically grown lavender plant. The key is no pesticides. You can also buy dried lavender at many co-ops or whole foods markets or get them online.

Probably the best shortbread I’ve ever baked. Didn’t have a lemon so I used an organic orange. Yum. So light and buttery. ❤️☕️

I love shortbread because it is one of the few cookies that gets better after it sits for a few days. I’ve never had them last much after that to test. 😉
