They make or break a shortcake in my opinion. I don’t care how you bake it, a cake with fresher strawberries will always taste better than an expertly prepared cake with mediocre strawberries.

When the neighbors trees got so big my sun was not enough for tomatoes, my herbs became my most precious crop! I’m living in between homes with friends and have been container gardening too…we’ve had lettuce, tomatoes, basil, mint, rosemary and thyme. It is a great alternative especially for a wannabe gardener! Best of luck..
